I started using PowerDraw back in the late 80's when my friend and collegue John Holland introduced me to the program. When I set out to pursue independent projects, I bought myself a copy. The price was right and the support Engineered Software provided was remarkable -- I try not to abuse it! I freelanced in various offices for a few years using other programs, but always liked PowerDraw.

In the early 90's, I joined Gardner/Fox Associates, a unique design/build firm with an office full of Macs and PowerBooks. The firm was using VersaCAD on a pencil plotter. VersaCAD seemed very difficult to master, in fact only one person in the firm could use the software. I introduced PowerDraw (and got an inkjet plotter!) and others learned the program quickly. We have been using PowerCADD and WildTools here for nearly eight years now. The thing that I like best about the program, besides ease of use and price, are the ability to soften a CAD drawing with color and other touches. Drawing is fast and fun. In addition, we can outfit four workstations for less than the price of that other CAD program.

I have selected a number of diverse images which illustrate the versatility of PowerCADD.
