Renovation drawing done in PowerCADD and Photoshop.
In 1987, I was quickly drawn to the Mac platform from the moment I really began to understand the concepts of 'desktop' and 'cut and paste'. Before the computer was a part of a designer's standard toolbox, I had used the 'cut and paste' process within all of my design and studio projects; including my ceramic art, drawing art and very much with my architectural building designs. I would produce designs and sketches with a variety of tools, such as hard lead, soft lead, crayons, ink wash, scribbles on tracings over sandpaper, etc. These parts and pieces would then be cut and pasted into final designs, shipped off to the the printers -- creating the final original drawing.
The big problem, this was the one and only original. Every new project started from scratch all over again and again. The Mac with PowerCADD and WildTools changed, challenged and expanded my design life forever. I use the same process today as I did years ago but with a much more powerfull and forgiving set of tools. It is these tools PowerCADD and WildTools that have pushed my designs forward, allowing me to produce a better product, communicate to others more clearly and quickly rethink design options.
In 2001, I daily produce designs using the most easy-to-learn, friendly-to-operate and fun-to-use design tools imagined -- PowerCADD and WildTools. I am one of the lucky ones, to have discovered PowerCADD and WildTools. Many, many many thanks to all those behind the interface.
